Train

A big thanks to the Bellarine Railway for supporting the 2011 BRT Run. There will be a Steam Train service especially for BRT Run participants, family & friends as part of the run this year. The train will be available in either direction at the approx times below and is the perfect way to travel to the start of the 17km run from Drysdale. Please use the train if at all possible to ensure this option remains viable for future years.The train runs adjacent to the trail for most of the course so you'll get a great view of the runners along the way!

IMPORTANT: It's NOT a race against the train and the train departs approx 15mins after the start for this reason. As everyone should know, this is NOT a race & roads to cross are not closed. There are also a couple of points where you cross the train track so please look out.

Cost: All tickets at kids prices - $8 per person for either a one way or return journey to keep it simple. Children under 4 are free. Tickets may be purchased at either Queenscliff or Drysdale. If possible, please bring correct change to minimise delays. And please allow enough time to purchase tickets as delays will delay the start of the 17km run.

NB - please use the train where possible to support the Bellarine Railway and ensure we can maintain this unique part of the run in future years.

Times:

• Depart Queenscliff ~ 8.35am
• Arrive Drysdale ~ 9.25am
• Depart Drysdale ~10.00am
• Arrive Queenscliff ~10.45am

Bags:

We can transport belongings on the train back to Queenscliff for those doing the 17km run but we cannot guarantee the safety of any valuables. Simply deposit your bags on the train prior to the start of the run.
