Train
A big thanks to the Bellarine Peninsula Railway for supporting the 2010 BRT Run. There will be a train service especially for BRT Run participants, family & friends as part of the run this year. Anyone wanting to run just one way (~17km) can do so using the train in either direction (refer to details below).

One way only - which way to run??
Queenscliff to Drysdale is gently uphill (see course details) & most commonly there will be a head wind if there is wind. You get to start with the main group & at 8.30am. BUT, if running this way & planning to catch the train back, please ensure you can run the trail in the required time (~1hr 30min or 5.15min/km) - otherwise it's going to be a long day!
Drysdale to Queenscliff is gently downhill most of the way and is certainly the easier one way option. There has been a prevailing tail wind this way for the last 6 years of the run. If you are using the train and have doubts about running the required pace above, this is the best option!
IMPORTANT: It's NOT a race against the train and the train departs approx 15mins after the start for this reason. As everyone should know, this is NOT a race & roads to cross are not closed. There are also a couple of points where you cross the train track so please look out.
Cost: Adults (O18) $10, U18 Free (same price for one way or return - keeps it simple & half normal price). Pay on the day at registration.
Times:
- Depart Queenscliff ~ 8.45am
- Arrive Drysdale ~ 9.25am
- Depart Drysdale ~10.10am
- Arrive Queenscliff ~10.50am
We can transport belongings on the train for those running one way but we cannot guarantee the safety of any valuables. Simply deposit your bags on the train just prior to the start at either the Queenscliff or Drysdale ends.
NB - selecting interest in the train on the entry form is simply a guide for us, not a commitment from you!
